Vietnam trip..low-lights and high-lights Day 3/3

Now, you must be wondering why there was no Day 1/3. Well, sad fact is that - there is not much of a good food to share nor a good pic to tell. However, in Vietnam, you could try thisIts a rice cooked till crisp on a pot. When they serve, the break the pot and serve it for you - fresh. It goes with chicken/pork floss.

For day 3/3 , we manage to try the real local food - thanks to the front office people in Golden Sun 4 hotel. He guided us to this restaurant, and eating there - really makes us feel like local. Check out the pics.

Vietnam trip..low-lights and high-lights Day 2/3

Well..i have to admit that it has been awhile since i actually log into this so called food blog of mine. Time flew by me as work began to pile. Anyway.. just a quick update, some where 2 months back, i manage to sneak away from work and actually go on a holiday in Hanoi = Vietnam. There are a few things i would like to highlight while visiting Hanoi, do not get con by the taxi drivers. Do not board the taxi which are already waiting outside of a tourist spot. You will be con and pay much much more extra than you can ever imagine. Also, trust no one there. I hate to bad mouth the people over there, but i believe, some actually experience it and they will know how i felt.

So much for the low-lights of Hanoi. For the high-light, we'll friends and i manage to get on to this celebrity chef - Bobby Chinn (www.bobbychinn.com - currently still under construction). If you love Vietnamese food with a special French toppings, this is the place to go.

For a couple, we spend like USD100 for a dinner meal which breaks down to 2 different sets. Vietnamese or French. My wife took the vietnamese and i took the other one.

Oh by the way, the ambiance of the place. Its just spectacular. Good place for another friend of mine to actually propose to his gf..which is now - wife.

As for the food, its worth the money and the scallops which i had was excellent. Not too cook and it still has a freshness taste to it. Believe it was cooked with abit of wasabi sauce - or not.

Anyway, i let the pic tell you how they really taste like.
